Tata Steel India has anticipated an appreciable increment in its sales. The jump in sales is around 26% to 2.0 million tons (MnT) in the first quarter of the present fiscal.
In a statement released by the company, the Steel maker has mentioned that the sale during April-June in the last fiscal was 1.6 MnT and that during January- March, 2013 was 2.3 MnT.
The company has also witnessed an appreciable increase in their production of saleable steel. Steel production jumped by 23% amounting to 2.1 MnT during the April-June period of the current fiscal. On the other hand, production for the last year was around 1.7 MnT. Tata Steel has already produced 2.3 MnT saleable steel during January-March 2013 period.
Overall production of hot metal by the company has increased by 20%. Hot metal production of the company is estimated to be around 2.5 MnT so far in the current fiscal. As of last year, the production was around 2.1 MnT during the same period. This is recorded to be the best production of hot metal by Tata Steel from its Jamshedpur facility.
Accordingly, Crude Steel production by the company has also seen an increase. The overall jump was estimated at 22% attaining a production of 2.2 MnT during the April-June quarter of the current fiscal. Contrarily, the production last year was around 1.8 MnT. In a statement released by the company, they have mentioned that Crude Steel during the January-March quarter of 2013 was around 2.3 MnT.
