JSW crude steel production increased to 1.0 MnT for October FY14 as compare to 0.7 MnT FY13 same period.
JSW Steel, one of the lowest cost steel producers of the world, is a part of O P Jindal Group. It is one of the largest producers and exporters of coated flat products in the country. JSW reports Crude Steel production for October 2013, at 1.06 MnT showing a growth of 39% over corresponding month of previous year. The Flat rolled production doubled to 0.86 MnT in October FY14 as compare to 0.44 MnT spotted in same period previous year. A status quo remained in Long-rolled products vs. last year.

In its Q2 FY13 results the company has showed 2.98 MnT of crude steel production in the second quarter of current fiscal witnessing a growth of 37% against 2.17 MnT in Q2 FY13. More on Q2 FY13 results…
At the moment the company is one of the top contenders, selected for the final bidding of Stemcor assets along with other major players like Tata Steel, Essar Steel and Glencore.
